New SMS
This allows a user to send an instant SMS to any guest/non-guest inside or outside the hotel. To send a new SMS :
• Fill the recipient’s number
• Type the SMS
• You could also use a pre defined Non Variable template by right clicking on the message screen.(For types of templates Ref.Templates)
• Click ‘Send Now’ for instant messaging or
• Click ‘Send Later’ to schedule it for a later date & time.
Auto SMS
These are messages that will automate on the basis of a trigger.
The Trigger can be selected as any of the following activities in PMS:
o E- Reservation (New)
o E- Reservation (Cancel)
o E- Check In
o E - Check Out
o Expected to arrive
o Expected to Depart
o E-Room Assignment
In order to create the Auto SMS:
• Give a name to the Auto SMS
• Choose a trigger from the drop down list
• Define a trigger pattern by filling the ‘When’ field. Example:- at occurrence, after x days or after x hours
• Frame the message either by free text typing or by inserting variables like ‘Title’, ‘First name’, ‘last name’ etc. The respective details would get picked up from your PMS
• Define the life of the Auto SMS by choosing any of the following:
o Always On
o Start Date and End Date
• You can also Filter the Guests you want to send this message to by using the following:
- Company
- Country
- Language
- Nationality
- Room type
- VIP Level
Once the above changes have been made, click 'Save' to save the auto message
Scheduled SMS
Scheduled SMS can be created to be sent automatically as per a schedule. A scheduled SMS could be sent to either your Guest list or your Address book.
• Choose either the Guest list or the Address book
• Give a name to the Scheduled SMS
• Define a schedule as shown below, by clicking on the dotted line next to the tab ‘Schedule Time’
• Define the life of the Auto SMS and Scheduled SMS by choosing any of the following:
o Always On
o Start Date and End Date
• You can also Filter the Guests you want to send this message to by using the following:
o Company
o Country
o Language
o Nationality
o Room type
o VIP Level
• Type in text using Variables for assistance e.g. After ‘Dear’ You may use Variables like ‘Title’ and ‘Last Name’ so every time SKIGEE sends out an SMS, it will pick up the guest details individually and include it in the SMS. (The variables would change if you choose the Address book contacts)
• Save the Auto Scheduled SMS
SMS All In-House Guest
Select the entire ‘In-House Guest’ list to send the same SMS in one click.
o Select SMS All In-House Guests and
- write a manual SMS and add variables to it or
- Insert templates
o Send the messages now or schedule them for some time in future
SMS All Pre-arrival Guest
Send an SMS to all your guests expected in the next 24 hours
• Select All Pre-arrivals
• Either type in your own text with the help of variables like ‘Confirmation no.’, ‘Room no.’ likewise or
• Use a combination of variables and templates
• Send the message now or anytime in future
